Felicity Miles is a part-time PhD student in the School of Arts and Humanities at the ºù«ÍÞÊÓÆµ of Worcester.
Felicity’s main research interest is surrogacy law. Her PhD research concerns whether children’s rights are sufficiently protected by the law in gestational surrogacy agreements.
Felicity is a member of the Constitutions, Rights and Justice research group at the ºù«ÍÞÊÓÆµ Of Worcester. She presented a paper at the Constitutions, Rights and Justice: In Theory and Practice Conference in September 2023, titled, ‘Surrogacy in the ºù«ÍÞÊÓÆµ: Are the rights of children born through gestational surrogacy adequately protected by the law?’ She also presented a paper at the group’s Spring Research Seminar, titled, ‘In the best interests of the child: Mapping the paramountcy principle in the context of surrogacy law.’ (April 2024)
Her supervisors are Dr Chris Monaghan and Dr Josie Welsh.
